Ubiquitous Monitoring & Service Robots for Care
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Ubiquitous Monitoring System (UMS) developed in the framework of Knowledgeable Service Robots for Ageing (KSERA) project is able to trigger unfavourable outdoor and indoor environmental conditions, potentially harmful for patients, especially with chronic respiratory diseases. The authors present a new artificial cognitive tool integrating sensing and decision making for care purposes. Authors showcase how a combination of virtual sensorial components acquiring daily the concentration of very fine Particulate Matter, one data analysis component triggering long lasting polluted periods cooperates with one humanoid robot actuating information delivery about the harmful conditions and risks of disease exacerbation. The use of humanoid robotic interfaces offers better persuasive capabilities and compliancy of care.

Dear Editor, The emergence of diseases due to drug resistance, genetic mutations, and transmission has made the future of infectious diseases complicated and vague. Currently, the prevalence of coronavirus, with high infectivity and significant lethality, has made infection control among nurses and patient one of the main goals of the World Health Organization [1]. At present, the prevention ...

These days, the most important areas of research in many different applications, with different tools, are focused on how to get awareness. One of the serious applications is the awareness of the behavior and activities of patients. The importance is due to the need of ubiquitous medical care for individuals. That the doctor knows the patient's physical condition, sometimes is very important. O...
متن کاملUbiquitous Spot Service for Robotic Environment
Recently, ubiquitous computing is a hot topic. And, ubiquitous computing brings big benefit for robotics. Distributed computers provide much information to robots. And, distributed sensors help the navigation and manipulation of robots based on the sensor network. Moreover, to distribute the actuators at the environment, environment becomes one of the robots as we call “Ubiquitous Robot”, and p...
